The Snowman Poem

The frosted snowman glistened on the hill, soft pallid sunshine cutting through the

chill.

Its belly rotund and a scarf wrapped so tight, on a pre-Christmas day 'twas a

heart-warming sight.

Its nose was lopsided, some buttons were missing, it had a wide toothless grin and

its body was slipping.

Two slender twig arms reached up to the heavens, two black fossil eyes gave an eerie

expression.

Its hat was stupendous, a blaze of bright hues, woolly like mammoths and worn

slightly askew.

Close by fallen angels, and snowball splattered trees, even more evidence of this

seasonal freeze.

Snowflakes of lace, cold fingers and thrills, all watched by the snowman from the top of

the hill.
