About me

I grew up in the beautiful village of Waddesdon, Buckinghamshire and with two older brothers it was inevitable that I would become a tomboy. My childhood wasn't the easiest, reading and daydreaming being my primary source of escapism.

When I was 11 years old, I was offered a Saturday job at a greyhound racing kennel and I was so smitten with these beautiful creatures that I spent most of my school holidays there as well. (I had a beautiful ex-racing greyhound as a pet - see below.) I decided to leave when I was 16 years old and began work as a groom for a very talented and lovely show jumper (Mandy McGlynn.) Subsequent years saw me working in various jobs, (the most memorable being three years at a maggot farm). I loved it here, but sadly the firm closed down.

Now I am a divorced mum of two children - Shannon and Kieran. I no-longer work part-time as a self-employed bookkeeper, I now work as a community teaching assistant for young adults with learning difficulties.

Quite a few years ago I joined a writer's website and decided to try my hand at writing children's stories, and I was pleasantly surprised at the positive reviews my work received. If you have any comments - please email me: kellief1177@gmail.com
